Overcrowding????

Hi, i've recently been handed two aquariums, which to be honest I know really nothing about and was hoping for some advice.

The first is approx 64litre size which i'm concerned maybe overcrowded. It has:
2 silver sharks (approx 3inches)
2 siamese flying foxes (approx 2inches)
3 red swordtails (approx 2inches)
1 male fighting fish (approx 2inches)
6 black phantoms (approx 1inch)
1 pleco (approx 4inches)

The second is approx 30litre size and has:
4 zebra danios (approx 1inch)
3 glass catfish (approx 2inches)
1 male fighting fish (approx 2inches)
2 rainbow sharks (approx 3inches)

unfortunately the person who gave me the tanks has left the country and cannot be reached, so was hoping for any advice/tips any of you guys may have? ???

Thanks
Jen x

What you'll want to do is check https://www.fishlore.com/TropicalFishProfiles.htm for the adult sizes of those fish and stick to the guideline of 1" (adult size) of fish per US gallon. you have some fish in there that will get large and need large tanks.

HI Jennifer,

Welcome to Fishlore

You are definitely overcrowded. And are you talking about the Fighting fish - Betta Splendens.... It should not co-exist in this tank.. OMG.. Try to provide him a separate tank... or he will kill other fishes or the others will kill him (based on their relative sizes)

oh.. I missed the Betta listed in the 64L.. i'd not be surprised to see the sharks do him in, although he might go after the swordtails also. definitely he'd be happier in a tank of his own, around 3-5 US gallons.
