he he he. The dreaded human finger-rot. I treated myself with Fungus Clear!

I want to laugh and feel bad for you all at the same time, Laure-Anne... hehe aww.. hehe aww.. Hope your finger gets better and doesn't get infection... (Could we call it human fin-rot?! )
6 stitches!? Respect! My biggest number of stitches was 3 or 4 I think, and that was planned - just to remove a mole. I have no street cred... :;pirate

Once i cut my right palm with a broken glass bottle when i was in seventh grade, accidentally offcourse, i had to take six stitches, and it was deep! IT wasn't kind of an ENTERTAINING EXPERIENCE FOR ME.............:-[:-[:-[
It didnt' hurt at all, so you can ha ha ha all the way, LOL. Am suuuuuch a big girl's blouse when it comes to blood! First thing my mother in law said - as I lay panting on the sofa was: 'what about when she gets kids?'. She was deadly serious. AAAAAAAH, the Dutch (they tend to talk of you when you're in the room...)!

Fainting hahaha...cutting yourself awww.
he he he. I knew I was going to faint as soon as I caught sight of it, so my husband escorted me to the sofa - what a girlie - and then he said I became very pale and broke into a sweat, then fainted - I am secretly proud of being so pathetic: in a way, it was entertaining for the guests !

Laure-Anne,
Ouch .. Hope everything is better now. Did you hit the floor hard ? Or bump your head on the way down ? While fainting !
No way?! Can you really change your finger prints? I was watching this suspence movie - OK, admittedly not the greatest of scientific sources - and I swear the forensic expert said that this guy had cut off the skin at the tip of his fingers to change his finger print, but that this was a useless method as they regrew exactly the same patterns. I guess you have first-hand evidence that in fact you can! Cool.

The only finger problem I had is when a turtle bit the front of my fourth finger next to the pinky on my right hand. My fingerprint used to be loops now its circles on that finger. I laugh about it now but it really hurt.

I thought about that, actually, as it was happening: I thought 'I could never be a chef'. Imagine fainting every 2 seconds while preparing your stew!

Careful!!!!!!! LOL...Why is it when ever someone cuts themselves or bumps something, every one says that??

I'm sorry to hear about your cut. I hope it heals soon. I used to do chef work when I was younger. I know about cutting yourself, burning, etc. great fun, really!!! LOL
he he he nope. Am not big on attention so I was trying to be discreet. It worked, as my mother in law is the world's most insensitive person. She just carried right on with the conversatoin. She's very sweet in her own way, but very much a no-nonsense sort of person. So that suited me fine as I hate it when people fuss. The whole thing was really funny, really. Here's me whispering to my husband to come over, and telling him to bring me to the sofa discreetly, and him looking at my finger and going 'uh hoooo. Erm, honey? we need to clean that' and me, well, going cold on him. All this in a whisper!

Wow! That is one respectable wound! You did faint, right? My goodness. I don't think I'd wake up until the stitches are gone. Verrrrry impressive.

Yep, you're definitely more like my mom, then. She can't believe what a bunch of girlie girls my dad and I are. She gives herself some quite impressive injuries, and she STILL has to take care of us because we've fainted seeing her wounds, instead of calling the doc!

I really think that the 'don't be daft' approach is best actually! Can't stand it when people make a fuss. Am more like: "don't mind me. Am just here on the floor. Just fainted. Nothing bad. I'll come through.". Of course there's the fact that I fainted in the first place, but hey, can't be perfect!

Haha......5 years ago my dad was in intensive care. He was VERY ill. I shocked one of the (fab) doctors on day one as when he had us in the office, telling us he may die any minute but that they were doing every thing they could to save him i said 'well if he does survive i'm gonna kill him for putting us through this'!!!! Of course i was nervous and joking but the doc's face was a picture.

It's amazing the number of nurses i work with that hate the sight of blood!!! DUH!!!!

You should look into a cutting glove. They work pretty well. We use them at work, and everyone has nice knives. I'm currently saving up to buy , and I wouldn't dare use it without a cutting glove on...I like my fingers too much

Sorry that happened! Glad you didn't lose any appendages, though.
