That's so cool! I have 3 otos that I wish would start breeding. I'm going to be buying about another 7 but I still wish they would breed. Do you do anything special or feed them anything special to get them to breed?

No I haven't been doing anything special. I didn't intend on breeding otos, I just happened to have a female and male that the store employee netted out at random. These same two are the ones now breeding. The only change was a 75% water change today after a month and the addition of 3 otos yesterday to round out the number at 5. I figure since this is a 20 gallon they see each other often enough that they wouldn't stress too much. All my otos appear to be fine leisurely grazing off plants. It's possible the water change may have triggered breeding. Sudden lowering of nitrates and decrease in temperature from the water change may have simulated the onset of rains and the rainy season that otos experience in the Amazon.

Lucky you! haha. I hope when I get all my otos that I get males and females. I'd love to have them spawn. Thanks for the advice!
