Oto With White On Nose

I just recently got an Otocinclus "midget sucker-fish" to put in my 65gal. So far he seems to be doing pretty well. Plan to get a few more to make a small group. I try to just check everyone daily cause hes in their with Angelfish, they usually behave themselves but can't be to safe. My question is that I've noticed a white 'pigment' on his nose.. I say pigment cause it doesn't look to me to be raised at all or even indented. It's just a white spot on his nose that kind of looks like he may have hit it on the glass or some driftwood.. Do you think it could be something as simple as that or something more serious that might require treatment. Will keep watching him trying to get a better picture and will wait to see if it improves..Any
advice is greatly appreciated

My first suggestion would be to keep an eye on him, keep your water as clean as possible and let us know if anything changes. I'm not sure what might have caused the white spot on his nose. I'm sure someone will have more ideas to post soon.

I like shayla1's advise. It does sound like an injury, so keep the water as clean as possible, and keep an eye out, as fungus can attack an open wound, but is far less likely to in very clean water.
BTW, I've never had angels bother otos before, different areas of the tank used by each, for one thing, so they rarely interact.------rick

Oto's are skittish fish especially when kept on their own, it could be he's had a fright & scraped himself on something.
As others have said, keep the water pristine & keep an eye on him, the sooner you can get him some friends the better

Yes I really do want to get him a few more buddies, the one place I go was out & the Other had dead fish in the tank=/
He was sorta an impulse buy and the LFS didn't have much info on him. But do plan on getting a few more when they have a healthy available stock... Should I do more than my weekly water changes? Or would that be adequate. (stock includes: 2 angels 5 rasboras, 1 oto)

Thanks again
