Oto with damaged tail

strobukm

I picked up 2 Otos yesterday for my 29 gallon tank and I noticed that one of them is missing part of his tail. He's super active, eating fine and not acting strange. Should I just leave it be and hope that it regrows now that he's in nice clean water or should I add anything to help him recover? I have some Kordon Fish Protector, if that would be helpful. Here's a picture showing both Otos together so you can compare their tails.

Just leave it and keep the water clean. It is not uncommon for them to have damage to the fins especially the tail. My last 3 all had tail damage and 2 weeks later they look great.
