Oto Catfish & Betta?

I have a 10 gal. Only resident is my 2" CT male betta. He's a pretty cool guy.

Was wondering if I could/should add a bottom feeder or two to the tank. No-one sells inverts here, so shrimp & snails are out. Was curious about the Oto catfish. From what I've read, they are very small and like to keep company with each other (3+). Not sure about their compatibility with bettas. Opinions welcome, thanks.

Otos need a bigger tank and a school of 6+. They are found in groups of hundreds in the wild.

Yeah otos aren't going to work Ina ten gallon. You can always buy shrimp online and have them shipped to you but there's no guarantee your betta wouldn't decide to make a snack out of them.

I have no problem with bettas and shrimp. Larger shrimps like Japanese algae eaters might be your best bet.

Otherwise known as Amano Shrimp, in case the OP gets confused
