Has anybody ever used these DIY Root Tabs? I would like to try them out to see if they help my plants grow.

You need to make sure that they are actually selling Oscomote+ and not just Oscomote. Oscomote+ is discontinued, it was the best fertilizer for root tabs out there. You can use Oscomote but it is not as good as the plus and it is cheaper than the plus.

O+ is available again. It's a good fertilizer but be aware that it utilizes ammoniacal nitrogen so a heavy dose or crushed pills can result in an ammonia spike.

You should be able to find it locally also at some of the big box stores. A 5lb bottle would last a lifetime.

    Nice to hear.
I have since went over to dirted tanks, so I haven't picked up any lately.

Just bury them deep so they're not released into the water, especially if you have fish that root around in the substrate.
