Oscar height

I cant find this anywhere on google surprisingly, but does anyone know roughly the height (bottom to top) of a full grown oscar?

I have the opportunity to get a 69 gallon tank that is 48×18×18.5".

Would this tank be fine for 1 adult oscar with no tank mates?

That basically sounds like a standard 75g tank that's 2" shorter.

I think most Oscar keepers say a 75g is the minimum to keep an Oscar in, so I would wager the tank yourr looking at will be just fine.

Check out the Tangled Up In Cichlids website.

They have F0 wild caught Oscars.

They have a ton of other Central and South American cichlids not commonly found from online breeders/vendors.

Be sure to look at the gallery section as well.

You might end up liking something else than an Oscar !

I'm not sure on the height of an Oscar, but I do know that if you got one for the 69 gallon, you would eventually have to upgrade to at least a 200 gallon tank or rehome it.

Are you sure you are thinking about the correct fish? An oscar does not need a 200 gallon tank

I have always heard 200 gallons is the minimum for them. I guess you learn something new everyday.

No, I just heard oscars needed 200 gallon tanks.

I would say a 6 foot tank. So 125 range.
