Hello!
Is there a reason you keep the temp so high?
Just trying to figure out what’s going on.

Preface: I have never seen anything like this.
But my impression is that it is a progressive viral Lymphocystis which has no treatment. The bumps may disappear. Are they still eating and swimming normally?

They are acting normally.

They are acting normally.
My vote is it’s viral but maybe someone on here has seen this before and can help diagnose better

I would be very careful about human contact [ your children] with that water.
I am not a person to have fear of water born issues but the picture is very concerning to me.
At best it is Lympho as suggested.
Worse case is it is one of the viral issues that could affect humans.
I am of the belief there is no cure for viral infections and often a " cured " fish will be a sub clinical carrier and infect most if not all new fish eventually.
Just me maybe.

as somebody whose hands are always in the tank this is scary! I hope the mollies are ok.

I really doubt this disease could harm immunocompetent humans and if it is viral I don’t think there are many viruses, if any, that pass from fish to human. That being said, always wash your hands after touching tank water. I had a possible mycobacterium “scare” a long time ago and all I did was make sure to wash my hands thoroughly after touching any tank water. And I’ve been totally fine. Just be aware and be safe and you’ll be totally fine

For precaution. I am wearing gloves when cleaning the aquarium. And I don't let my daughters near me when I'm cleaning. They love these little fish.
