Opinions on feeding guppy fry to bettas?

;D 'his lordship'. We are such softies to our scaley friends, aren't we? They totally rule my life, that's for sure.

Haven't seen a fry being gulped down yet, so I'll have to report on the emotional damage when that happens.

I currently have 6 tanks going with one quarantine tank and one hospital tank and the 4 permanent tanks. In every one of them there are little faces that turn to the "glass" and little behinds that start the "feed me dance" the minute the sun is up and the minute anyone walks into a room that the tank is in. They all focus very well on their tummies and while they love to eat, almost all of the fish will eat most any food EXCEPT the bettas. Most bettas will make you work to find out what to feed them. It is their nature and I think they want us to work to show them that we care.

My little ones do not like to chase their food. I tried to get them some live daphnia and they totally ignored it. All it did was make a big problem for me to remove. The loaches do a better job of eating it than the bettas. The bettas turned up their little noses and waited for the "real" food.

Rusty would chase food but Ribbon refuses to. If a current steals a pellet he glances at it and unless it is no more than the length of his body away he doesn't bother.
