Opinions on aquascape?

Hi all! I’m looking on some opinions on my current aquascape. Im new to aqua scraping, and I recently got this new 8.7 gal tank to put a betta and some shrimp in, but I feel like somethings missing still. I have some Hydrocotyle tripartita on the way from eBay, the Marimo moss ball, some dwarf chain sword, vallisneria (I believe), Anubias, and moneywort
I’d really like to do something with the seiryu rocks and possibly carpet the hydrocotyle.
Any help would be awesome! Thank you!

Looks like a cool hardscape. I would def do a carpet it would finish the look very well. I recommend marsilea crenata. Watch some green aqua vids on youtube for inspiration

The scape on the left. Some buce and anubias on the rocks with chain swords and carpet plant on the substrate would be perfect. Perhaps make the substrate a pasture, and the rocks a mountain, so leave it bare towards the top and put short plants on the bottom?? That would be cool.

I love that idea! It brings more to the left scape and makes it more full!

I was thinking more mountain like or valley like when I was scraping, so that’s a great idea!

I haven’t been heard of marsilea crenata! I may have to go back on eBay to get some, thank you for broadening my scraping horizons lol
