I have a group of Mickey Mouse platies that are currently in a 10 gallon tank prior to going in my main community tank. I always treat new arrivals for internal parasites with levamasole. I treated the platies with 2 doses (48 hours apart) 3 weeks ago and did a 50% water change. I hoovered up all detritus from the bare bottom during the water change. I treated with levamasole again on Tuesday and on Wednesday noticed very long poops (about 3 inch long) on some of the platies. The poops were normal in appearance, not white or stringy, just longer than normal.I did a 50% wc Thursday again with thoroughly cleaning the tank bottom. Do you think I should give 1 more dose of levamasole or try a different medication like praziquantel?

generally lavamasol is good at doing its job and after two doses that should be it, so I'm wondering if the poo after the third treatment is the affect the lavamasol is having on the poo and not internal parasits, just food for thought
