So, I have 2 male and 1 female turquoise in my 55g and wanted to add a few more female.
Went by the local PetSmart, OMG, poor fish. I couldn't tell their sex so decided to hold off, plus one had very poor color and the other had finrot on his top and tail. So, I change my mind and just picked them up. I've kept my 10g QT cycled with drops, so that should help. First day, I put in a little Stress Coat+ and half dose Melafix.
I've read the simple daily water changes will heal it and it's not too bad. With a cycled QT tank, do I still need to do daily WC? If so, what %?
Should I go ahead and continue Melafix or wait and see if WC is enough?
I also read VitaChem has helped rot. Should I add that into the routine somehow? Does anybody use any of these in a regular dosage regime?

    Hi there,
Daily 50% water changes will fix the fin rot, don't dose Melafix or any other product for this treatment.

    Thanks
