Just curious.. if you are going to be breeding bettas is there a reason you want cheap ones?? I breed dogs and I get my breeding stock from top of the line show quality champion bloodlines and breeders. If you are going to breed something you should be focusing on producing a better version of the fish!!!

Then I am going to give my advice.. I DON'T want to offend you by any means!!! But.. breeding anything is very expensive! It is best to have a good source of income before trying to do it.. it would not be fun to be in the middle of it and realize you can't afford it.

Ok thanks for your opinion. I have breed other fish before I am not a beginner. I am just a girl at home wanting to make other people happy by giving them bettas. I am doing it with other freinds also.

The thing that made me think you are a beginner is that your profile says you don't know about the nitrogen cycle!!
Edit
I I think it is great that you want to get your friends into fish keeping!! Then you can teach them and then their will be more people who know that bettas can't live in cases and small containers!!!

Breeding low-quality, cheap fish will result in low quality fry. You are also way more likely to have deformed bettas.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I don't mean to be rude, but do you realize that breeding bettas is extremely expensive? The fry will only eat fresh live foods, you'll have to buy multiple different types and keep colonies, you'll need tons of brine shrimp and a brine shrimp hatchery, and most importantly, you will need many many large tanks + at least 100 jars to keep fry. The males become aggressive and must be separated, as do some of the females, and there's no cheap way to buy hundreds of jars. Bettas produce 200-300 fry each, so expect to have to separate out half, then house the others in various 40 and 55 gallon tanks. It's not always necessary to separate out so many, but often it is and you need to be prepared.
And you have to think about these hundreds of babies; do you already have several hundred homes lined up? The online market is absolutely saturated, they will be extremely difficult to sell, especially if they are not show quality. You will have to deal with daily water changes on so many tanks, and 5 daily feedings of so many mouths.
The cheapest you could get these items is several hundred dollars, somewhere in the $300-800 range.
Also it will be impossible to raise fry without knowing about the nitrogen cycle, given how susceptible they are to ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate poisoning.
I have some suggestions if you want to start with something cheaper

Maybe focus on breeding high-quality swordtails before attempting to breed bettas.

It really doesn't matter, they ARE the same species. And anyway, my betta breeding is going well!

Rtessy

How many jars/ extra tanks do you have? What types of live food?
Edit: also it does matter, higher quality swordtails tend to be weaker and can give you more experience. That's basically like saying Betta splendis is the same as betta imbellis, or betta smaragdina, or betta mahachai, when in fact the care for them is very different, with one requiring brackish water.

It does matter. You need to think about genetics.

Just trying to inform you...

If you would prefer to not follow information that's your choice, but not a good outcome for the fish.

This thread does seem to have gotten off topic since the OP only asked for seller recommendations.

However, as with any endeavor it does sound like you might need to do more research on the breeding of these particular fish, and everyone is trying to help you get started without you getting in over your head by accident, which happens a lot to many. Don’t forget, friend, it’s hard to tell voice inflection from text posts. Everyone means you well

Look at NJ bettas on Facebook, they keep a good genetic record, but I recommend doing more research first

Aquabid is good for nice or show quality pairs, however sometimes they are more expensive or have to be imported. Most of the bettas that are imported can have issues transitioning to new water parameters and must be acclimated carefully. They aren't cheap even ones already shipped in.

I’ve seen some reasonably priced Betta on EBay. You could check there or aquabid. It helps to filter by your country of origin so shipping won’t get too pricey. But it usually is anyway since the a aninals have to be shipped very quickly. I hope that’s helpful. Acclimating them takes a little longer when they have to make a journey like that.

If you order fish don't drip acclimate them. Just temperature acclimate them.

Since the fish respirate, they deplete the oxygen in the bag and create CO2. The CO2 lowers the pH which makes ammonia (in the bag it is very high) into less toxic ammonium. When you open the bag oxygen goes in, making the ammonium go back into ammonia.

Really? I never noticed that. I know eBay is more reasonable for me personally. I’m sorry your thread got so off topic. We’re normally more useful. This is generally the most helpful fish forum you’ll find. Definitely not the norm...don’t be discouraged everybody really does mean well.

You can browse aquabid without an account. I'm doing it right now lol

You have to sign up for aquabid to bid or buyer the auctions there, like you have to on ebay. Most of the sellers on ebay bump up the prices (there are sellers on both with the same fish but they have two different prices because ebay costs money to post) to handle the ebay fees.
