One tank has turned into three...

My one 75 gallon tank has turned into a 5.5 gallon (for a future betta) and a 36 gallon bowfront for pair of angelfish. Caught the fish bug! 75 gallon is cycling with 6 danios (looking very healthy, they have even grown) and deciding how to cycle the other two.

Yup pretty much the same thing happened to me. My betta's five gallon, turned into me getting a ten gallon so she has more room to swim. She is just so active. The five gallon will now be used for a hospital/quarantine tank.

Of course my husband convinced me to get the 40 gallon breeder during $1.00 per gallon sale few months ago, which I am still building a stand for.

Glad to see I'm not the only with a problem haha. Been buying tanks whenever I can find then for cheap, but have been waiting to set them up(unfortunately). Never thought to look at thrift stores!

Yes fish are addicting, plus all the species that need a tank just for themselves seem to be a lot of those fish/inverts/water creatures I am interested in. For example, I kind of like the looks of pea puffers and dwarf crawfish too.

Lol. My 75 gallon turned into a 10G QT, 20 G that my granddaughter claims and a 56 tall that I'm cycling now.

Lol, I'm not sure why tanks are so addicting because they are so expensive. I have the same bug though! Two 10 gallons, a 65, a 60 and two 20 gallons. It's crazy, because I still want more.

I've got a 55, 40b, and 29.

I'll stop when my floor falls through.

When that happens you'll have a pond.

my 46gal BF that I got for $35 on the app Offer Up (it came with a big piece of fake driftwood, and a beautiful stand) has turned in to a 5 gal and a 30 gal tall that I got off Offer Up too for $60 (but it had 9 fish). Seriously you guys should download that app!!!

I actually have found deals for tanks everywhere, ebay, craigslist, and facebook fish groups. Not to mention the $1.00 per gallon petco has (which I believe is happening again) where I got my 40 gallon breeder from. The deals also feed into the addiction.

I've got the same bug as you. I've got 3 operating tanks at home, 1 at work and i've got 2 spares waiting to be put to use. ... sigh.

My fish don't seem to want to live at the moment though especially my bottom dwellers so I'm at a loss right now how to fix the smaller tanks before I establish my larger 4 ft tank.

My 10 gal has turned into a 29high, 5 gallon and that 10 has been upgraded to a 20long. Thinking of getting a new 10 gallon (since this one keeps leaking and has really bad crust all over it) and putting either nano fish or a betta in it. Possibly a QT. Not sure yet.

If it weren't for me living in a studio, I'd have more than just a 10 gallon and 5 gallon (hasn't been setup yet) tank.

I live in an apartment myself so I know how that goes. I would to have a huge tank with sharks, or maybe salt water or maybe a pond of goldfish. Naturally that requires a house.

I've been in this hobby a little over a month and I already have two tanks and am planning a third.
