Yes, although some ADFs can be very shy (especially if they are kept with fish), excessive hiding and lack of appetite can also be symptoms of disease. I'd keep a very close watch on him. It might be nothing, or it could be very serious. I'd definitely be concerned, especially if this is unusual behaviour for him. You could try hand-feeding him to see whether or not will accept food. - frogbreeder

I don't see the frogs on your tank list. How many do you have? they do better in groups of 3 or more. I bought a very small one and rarely seen it, I thought it was the one that got dropsy but I was wrong. I have noticed this little frog a lot more the last week or so now that he is growing bigger. Mine come out of hiding as soon as bloodworms hit the water

That’s great news that your frog has come out and eaten bloodworms. That it is willing to eat likely indicates that your frog is not feeling ill, but I’d still watch very closely for any signs of disease, just in case. This behaviour might simply be explained by the fact that some frogs are inherently more shy than others. Or, it might just be that it is taking a bit more time than your other frog to get used to their new surroundings. While it is perfectly normal for ADFs to hide some of the time, most are naturally quite inquisitive and, if they are comfortable with their surroundings, they will usually come out to see what is happening, as soon they notice any activity around their aquarium, especially if they think food could be involved. Your frog might be have been hiding a lot because it is afraid of your fish, or it could be the filter current is a little too strong and it is having trouble swimming. Sometimes, simply adjusting the filter’s output so as to minimize the current remedies this problem. Also, female frogs will hide when they are being courted by a male but are unwilling to mate (in this case, the female will usually hide with her back against something, so that the male cannot grasp her from behind). Hopefully, your frog just needed more time to adjust, but if it does continue to hide, you might want to consider that there could be other reasons for this behaviour. Good luck. I hope your frogs continue to spend more time out and about, where you can enjoy watching them. - frogbreeder
