One Male Betta in Guppy Community Tank?!

I’m thinking about adding just one male half moon betta fish in my guppy community tank. Will that be okay? or will he fight the other fish in the tank? The tank’s 100 gallons and I have lots of hiding places there too. Will it stress him out or will he be fine?

I haven't kept a male in a community tank, but I've heard it's not uncommon for a male betta to attack guppies, especially the ones with the larger tails, since they see them as rivals. You might have better luck with a female.

how many other fish? since it is 100 gallons there might be enough room.

As of now there are about 20-30 livebearers but I might transfer a few of them to a different tank first before adding the male betta. What do you suggest?

you probably could add 1 male

A single Male could work, I personally would recommend a female just to reduce the risk of aggression but it honestly depends on the individual bettas Personality, some females are super aggressive some are peaceful, males can be “ok” with other fish but more often they will not tolerate tank mates so well..
