I frequent a local facebook online yard sale page searching for tanks etc...There was a lady on their trying to sell her 40gal with everything including the fish...No one seemed interested and I held back on making an offer since I just got the 55gal weekend before last...
Well today I just happened to be on when she reposted it saying FREE!!! Evidently they are moving to the west coast and can't take it with them. She has 4 fish in it right now, all of which I am pretty sure are going to either need rehomed or added to etc. They include, a tetra, pink kissing gourami, a "catfish" (she doesn't know what kind) and shark of some kind.
I already called the locally owned LPS and asked them if they would house the shark and any of the others I may need to rehome and they were fine with it. (Good thing I found out I have a good friend who works there)...
I don't want to lose the cycle on this tank as she has had it set up for well over two years. So now I need to decide what and where to put it and put in it...From the looks of the picture it seems the stand is actually meant for a bigger tank. So maybe just maybe I will get lucky enough to score one to some day soon put my 75gal (hubby doesn't realize he is getting me for Christmas..haha) ..But even if it isn't I LOVE free!!! Here is a picture...
