Background: I was up sick most of the night and was in the living room. (where the fish tank is)
This morning my Mother woke me and told me that something was wrong with my lyre tail guppy (Oscar) My feet hit the floor and sure enough he was just setting on the bottom of thank. I could see his gills were moving and once in a while his fins were moving. Ok he's alive but what was wrong. Mom asked if he was just sleeping. I didn't think so since he is always the first to the top of the tank.
I jumped into save Oscar mode, I thawed a pea and tried to get him to eat it. That was hard because the cory was right beside him. I did everything but pull him out and shove it down him. Ok he didn't want to eat. At one point I was yelling at him to wake up, and I looked around and my dog (Annie) had her paws on the table and was barking at the tank. I guess she was helping me wake Oscar. LOL
Ok peas weren't working so next up is a water test everything is fine but I did a 40% water change anyways and nothing happened. Two hours later he was still laying on the bottom. I was getting ready to log on and Annie came running in and barking at me and going back to the tank. I went in and Oscar was up swimming and playing with the cory. Later this afternoon Oscar at some of the pea off the bottom of the tank.
It was a crazy morning and this afternoon I realized that the light was on most of the night so he might have been just sleeping after all. I tell you I am going crazy.
