Funny Ok I think my animals have made me crazy

Background: I was up sick most of the night and was in the living room. (where the fish tank is)

This morning my Mother woke me and told me that something was wrong with my lyre tail guppy (Oscar) My feet hit the floor and sure enough he was just setting on the bottom of thank. I could see his gills were moving and once in a while his fins were moving. Ok he's alive but what was wrong. Mom asked if he was just sleeping. I didn't think so since he is always the first to the top of the tank.

I jumped into save Oscar mode, I thawed a pea and tried to get him to eat it. That was hard because the cory was right beside him. I did everything but pull him out and shove it down him. Ok he didn't want to eat. At one point I was yelling at him to wake up, and I looked around and my dog (Annie) had her paws on the table and was barking at the tank. I guess she was helping me wake Oscar. LOL

Ok peas weren't working so next up is a water test everything is fine but I did a 40% water change anyways and nothing happened. Two hours later he was still laying on the bottom. I was getting ready to log on and Annie came running in and barking at me and going back to the tank. I went in and Oscar was up swimming and playing with the cory. Later this afternoon Oscar at some of the pea off the bottom of the tank.

It was a crazy morning and this afternoon I realized that the light was on most of the night so he might have been just sleeping after all. I tell you I am going crazy.

I'm pretty sure we've all had our scares....I know I sure have. I'm glad everything worked out for you and Oscar is ok. It sounds like he's in great hands

I can't tell you how many times one or another of our finned friends has put us through something like that..... after the "miracle" recovery, it's usually followed by us walking away from the tank, grumbling "stupid fish".....

She is a collie mix. She likes the fish but doesn't want us to know. She goes and checks them out when she thinks we aren't looking. And she likes to smell of their food. So far she's not taken a bite, but she just might she is so funny.

Glad your fish are alright! My pittbull and tea cup yorkie(both females, and the best of friends) sit on the back of the couch and watch em zoom around. >Even though she knows shes not supposed to, Rosebudd will put her paws up on the frame and peer through with her black nose pressed against the glass fogging it all up.

Only evidence I have of this is dog slobber and smudge marks on the glass and scratches on the wood:'(
