Ok Guys I need your help!

I have decided that I want to add one more male Halfmoon Plakat to my breeding stock, since right now Kadin is the only one I have. I've been scanning aquabid all day, looked at every single HMPK on there and picked out these 6 as my top choices. Now I can't decide between them and I need your help!

The lines I want to work with are fancy marbles and/or butterflies. Right now I have a fancy blue/orange Marble butterfly HM, a Super Black Butterfly HM and a Blue/black fancy marble dragon HMPK.

I want this new male to be either a nice Butterfly or a nice fancy. With good finnage, I passed over a lot of nice colored males on AB because their finnage was so unbalances.

1. I love the color of this male, good tailspan, edges could be a little sharper, love the dorsal and the balance of the dorsal and caudal. I'm not a fan of the Anal, too unbalanced and pointy, but could be fixed in future generations.



2. Love the balance of this male, I like his dorsal, Caudal edges could be a little sharper, I love his anal. I'm not super crazy about his coloration though.



3. I love the overall look of this guy. Love the branching on his caudal. But I'm afraid salamanders are a little too common.



4. Love the color and shape of this male. I don't know if I want to work with red though, it can take over really quickly.



5. I really only like the color and the dorsal on this guy. But I keep thinking about how gorgeous this color would look on a HMPK with more balanced form and great butterflying.



6. I LOVE the color on this guy. I love his dorsal. I hate his analfin, and I wish his caudal was a little more balanced.

 

1, 5, and 6. fin wise, but 3 color wise. I don't like the other 2. They look like some one just splattered paint on them... I really, really like 1 and 6, though.

#1 is the most gorgeous betta I've ever seen! But my second choice is tied between 2,3, and 4.

You are probably going to get people that want you to buy each different one.

I love number 2. I really like the color and his shape. I don't know anything about breeding though.

Edit: How come some of them have such short ventrals? Does that just mean they are young?

 

Can you guys tell me why you like the ones you like? Color and finnage wise?

 

I like the light colorations on 1 and 6, and the bold blue of #3. 1 has the best fins, IMO. 3's fins are too stuby, but I can't get over his coloration!

The more that I think about it, the less I like #5... :/

 

I like #1 because he is so colorful and shimmery!;D

 

I'm no betta breeder but #1 is my top pick based on color, and #2 is my top based on shape. #4 is really unusual looking though which makes me like him too..

 

I like number 5 and 6. mainly because of the colour. I like pale or multiple coloured bettas. I favour number 6 the most because of the colour.

 

I put a bid on #1 after much debate, #6 was my favorite but I just couldn't justify buying a betta with such poor form

I love 1 and 4!!! I like the coloration of 3, but he looks sort of stubby to me, although I don't know the standards for fin and body structure. It is just a general observation.

It depends on the quality of the babies. The best ones I will keep for my breeding program and will sell on aquabid for like $15 + shipping. The rest will be adopted out just for the cost of shipping.
