Oil?

Is this oil? Is it bad? If so what should I do? Is my peat moss doing this? Please help! Thanks!

 

its not bad if it doesn't build up. its usually caused by not enough water agitation or your hands

 

I agree, it's harmless. A bubbler can help with surface agitation. Hope that helps!

 

Not so much "oil" as biofilm. Where there isn't a lot of surface agitation it builds up .
