Ohf filter light problem

I'm wondering if I should cover my ohf with something so that inside the box is dark for bb to grow on. Or is it OK to leave it alone. I have bioball and minI bacteria house in there. My tank Is beside the window and in the morning, the sunlight hits the floor in front of the tank for about 1 hour. I check the temperature and it's not making much difference.

I tried covering it with big cloth but it gets drenched every time

I think you have nothing to worry about. Most of the bacteria is going to grow on the surface area created by all the stuff you have in there like ceramic rings and bio balls.

One suggestion I do have....
If you look on the left compartment in your photo, in the lower section it looks like you have the ceramic rings all neatly lined up. I would mix them up and make them more random. The idea is that the water has to be forced over and around as much surface area as possible before returning to the tank. Your current setup, may force most of the water down a central path and not be exposed to as much of the surface area as it could if things were mixed up more. Your middle and right compartment look more mixed up, so do something like that if you can.

actually the front part is neatly but the back is messy. But I read some post and they mention that bb is sensitive to light especially uv.

Like I said I don't think you have anything to worry about. The UV light they are probably referring to is from a UV filter. Not much UV penetrates glass or plastic anyways. It may be something to worry about if the chambers received direct sunlight out in your front yard for 10 hours a day all day long, but in your house, where the light goes through a window and then the plastic case of your filter, it shouldn't do much. Much of the bacteria is inside the ceramic rings etc.
