Oh Nooo

my new poor little albino cory got stuck on the filter a couple days ago.. hes the smallest one and I know the pull from my filter is pretty strong because ive seen some of my mollies get pulled onto it but they’re always able to get away, I didnt think this could happen. I feel horrible, he was wiggling all over the place trying to get free. I turned it off and he swam away and I thought everything was okay. since then hes just gotten worse.. he is currently laying on his side, he moves only if another fish comes too close.. the only damage I can see is a rip in his fin. I did a big water change. is there anything else I can do for him?

I don't know- he probably won't last much longer. Keep clean water and low ammonia levels.

Do you have one if those floating breeder boxes? Maybe separate him. If you have any stress coat, dose with that.

Does he have wounds? If so, maybe you should euthanize. Fish don't really recover from bigger wounds. Sorry to hear

Ahh poor guy, sorry to hear. Maybe you could add a sponge as a prefilter on your filter intake tube?

Sorry to hear this!

In my opinion, fish rarely will get stuck to a filter if they’re healthy. It’s usually when a fish is sick or dying, then they lose enough strength to not overpower the filter.
