Octo 1000 Protien Skimmer

Is anyone using this skimmer,
The Octo 1000 Protien Skimmer came with instructions on how to assemble and an air valve, it says nothing about overflowing on start up, which almost happened, there's nothing to explain the best setup, although it doesn't overflow now I do get a buildup of salt around the rubber seal
For the last two weeks I've run it with water coming out of the overflow which in itself creates 1000s of small bubbles,
At the moment I'm doing this hit and miss,
I have installed the air valve but its open full

My experience of a range of skimmers is getting the water level just right... And collection cup height.

Maybe there's a manufacturers setup video on YouTube or sumin?

From what I've seen by the manufacturer dosnt do much on YouTube, they give brief explanation but then it seems its left to you.
The one scary part is the fact they can overflow and theres no explanation as to stop this
