Ocellaris Clownfish Parenting

Do Ocellaris Clownfish care for their fry, eat them, or just don’t pay attention or mind them? I’ve tried to do research to find the answer to this, but I haven’t found an absolute answer.

Thanks,

Hi, try searching for 'clownfish breeding'; you'll find plenty of articles etc about the breeding habits of clownfish.
And also google "do clownfish eat their fry"

Like many egg layers, some do, some don't (eat the eggs/fry). The male will protect and tend to the eggs until they hatch, once they hatch, the fry are on their own.

Most breeders will move the fry into a grow out tank, away from mum and dad to reduce the chances of them being eaten.

Yup, generally best to move the fry into a separate tank once they are born, that way they don't become food for Mom and Dad.

On this one article I read, it said the “dad will take care of the young ones until they reach maturity”. I’ll still move them though, just for safety precautions. Thanks for your help!
