Not Sure What My Fish Is Doing

Not acting sick at all. These are healthy fish. Blue and o.b peacock. I just added the o.b and my blue is now shaking its fins near him. Also found an area in the tank and started moving coral from it. Blue and o.b were shaking fins and swimming in small circles there. Not agressive. They keep swimming to that area of the tank together. Is it possible my blue is a female? Fishlore won't let me upload the video but I will add pictures.

 

What does the other fish look like? The one pictured is definitely male. To me it sounds like the two were facing off over a bit of territory. They will flash their fins, do a shimmy and circle each other quickly when doing a face off. Spawning behavior is similar but they are not tight, fast circles and the female won’t be flashing her fins.

Moving the substrate is usually the males creating spawning areas, females can dig too but not as much as males will.

Thank you for responding I added a picture of the o.b I'm new to Africans. I had original 5 stock in there for 3 weeks and just added 3 more from my qt tank. Everyones being nuts now haha

 

The OB is a male too so they were just sizing each other up. Hope you have a big tank, 55gals in the general minimum and even with one myself I feel my big peacocks need an upgrade.

I have a 65 african a 30 a 10 and a 5. Lots going on. Thank you for the help. I was a little worried I had a female. The blue was on the small side when I got him. I have a hybrid that I know is a sulphur head but not sure what else? Maybe you would know.

Not a clue what he could be mixed with, there’s plenty of possibilities as a female peacock will spawn with just about any other fish even if it’s not her own species or even a peacock at all. I’ve got hybrid yellow lab/peacocks and used to have a batch of peacock/blue ahlI mutts.

That sounds like a cool mix for sure
