So, to start off my list of complaints (sorry for the rant), I had to stay home today because I have the flu- always fun. By three, I'm feeling a little better, so I think, hey, maybe I'll clean one of my tanks; well that always makes me a little tired, so then I get ready to relax- right after a swap one of my bettas to an empty 20 gallon to get it cycled to put my cute little fish babies (cichlids) into.
So, after I get the betta into the tank, I realize that there's a bunch of junk floating all over. Another water change, then I see that the junk is actually worms-which I'm thinking/hoping are harmless after some research. Well, the betta's only been in there two minutes, so I immediately take him back out and return him to his tank, just in case.
Well, I'll take out all of the water in the wormy tank tomorrow and let it sit for a while-take care of that later. Back to trying to relax. I go into my porch to watch my other betta for a while. I'm seeing the african dwarf frogs, but not the betta. Hmmm. Then I see the betta lying on the table under the tank. Expecting the worst, I give him a little poke, and he's still alive! I toss him back into the tank and watch him for a while just to make sure he's ok (which he is).
And to top it all off, in my fourth and final tank-the cichlid tank- I notice that my featherfin squeaker has ich. Turned up the heat and am currently getting ready to do a THIRD water change, when I only wanted to do one (keep in mind that I am sick).
