2 Gallon Tank 'no Planaria' For Hydra Treatment

EbiAqua
  • #1
Shrimp tank of approximately 2.1 gallons (8 liters). Crystal shrimp and ramshorn snail inhabitants.

I see hydra in the tank and want to safely eliminate them. I have No Planaria which from my understanding will work. Its best by date was 7/28/18 so I don't know how effective it will be... I am open to other methods of treatment.

Let me know how large of a water change I need to do after treatment and if I should run carbon after treatment.

It appears I am missing the spoon that comes with it, and I don't know how much a single scoop of the included spoon is...

Unfortunately I don't, and I can't find any information on how many mg a "scoop" is.

Unless you have digital scales that reads small amounts it's no good as you'll only be using something like .1of a gram

I just remembered I have a small, unopened bottle of PraziPro. Is it shrimp and snail safe? It is a Praziquantel based med.

Unless it says on the bottle shrimp safe I'd be wary its not something ive come across in the uk

5ml treats 10 gallons. My tank is around 2 gallons so I'm dosing .5ml.

Doesn't matter though. I only have one shrimp left.
