No "Edit Signature" option in settings

Hi, I'm new the site here and read through the rules and some how to's and I am not seeing the option to add a signature. I read the "how to I edit my signature" thread and following the instructions I am still unable to. Do you have to be a member for a certain amount of time or have so many posts before this functionality is available? Am I missing something else?

Yes you must have 25 posts then you can have a signature

 

Check it, I've got a signature! All of a sudden the option was there. Thank you to whomever if you decided to bend a rule for me! (if it was a glitch, I promise, I'll hit 25 posts before you can say Hoo Boy that's the most impressive looking betta I've ever seen Josh!)

 

When reading about the signature it says that the sig should only show up on the first post. It doesn't do that automatically, is the expectation that users will un-check that box that says "Show your signature"?

 

It's up to the user. I typically un-check the box for subsequent posts in a thread.

Sorry, I was in the middle of updates with the db. It is back off now. Still need 25 posts before they show up. This is a spam prevention rule.
