Is it normal for a tank to have no algae?

If it's low light LED and doesn't get sunlight yea. I have a 10 and a 29 neither 1 ever gets algae

Sure! Just means you have the right balance of light, nutrients and CO2.

I think if he's getting enough veggies and algae wafers, he should be fine. Is he the kind of pleco that likes to rasp on wood?

Hmm it's a albino bristle nose. I have wood in the tank either way.

That pleco is the cutest little pleco.
My BN (dubbed Caveman) likes cucumbers and zucchinI but if I boil them for more than 1.5 minutes he won't touch them. Spoiled little fishy.
Also, even when I get algae growth in my tank (which is rarely), he won't touch it. He's obnoxiously picky and if he doesn't like a food will attempt to bury it.

Yeah, I think that's pretty much what runs through his mind when he's hiding it lol
Once I found an "under blanched" (yeah, sure, as if a couple minutes isn't enough) cucumber piece wedged underneath Cavemans favorite driftwood. Roots had grown all over it and it looked like he used it as a poop spot. "mom too hard for mouth time to poop and wedge under wood"
I love Bristlenoses personalities.
I use metal chip bag clips or a seafood fork to weigh my veggies down.
