Nicrew H7 heater temps keep climbing

MrsWolfie

HI all,

I run a couple of Nicrew H7 heaters in my 7.6 and 1.8 gal tanks. I have endlers and blue cherry shrimp in the 7.6, and just shrimp in the 1.8 on my desk. While working today, I glanced up and noticed my aquarium is running at 24 degrees Celcius, two up from the 24 degrees that I set it at. It's sunny here in the UK, but definitely not balmy! The 7.6 gallon is running at 23 degrees. I'm not too worried as I know both temps are okay, but it is concerning when they keep climbing. Is this normal and should I be worried?

Thanks all,

Helen

I’d be concerned personally. Heaters shouldn’t climb or drop on their own if working properly.

I'm keeping an eye on it for now. Still at 24 degrees for now and the shrimp seem fine and happy. It's concerning, but not alarming.
