HI everyone. I was doing my usual browsing for betta info when I came across this Dutch site on labirinth fish. It's in Dutch, but it's basically the list of species, hyperlinked to pictures. Take a look. I found it really cool.

Cool! The wild Bettas are so beautiful! I wish I could have all of them! I bet most of them are very hard to find and expensive. Probably need to catch them in the wild...

Me too (wish I could have all of them). If I had my way, my walls would be covered in tanks, and of course I'd have a full-time fish-minder.

Yeah, I really love that link. There's some real beauties in there.

That doesn't sound like the easy solution either (catching them yourself in the wild!).

I love the wild bettas.. the mahachaI pair are wonderful and I think our next wilds might be Betta smaragdina or Betta rutilans. another good page (english) is the IBC page.

Well there is always space. Are you being selfish again? Come on, think. Do you really need a bath? Or an entrance hall? Or bookshelves? Or a living room? Or walls, for that matter. Where's your spirit, Dave? You're letting your bettas down.

Both great sites, I know where I can now go when I need info on different betta species.

There are some amazing space saving options out there, though I think you might have to put a little more time in maintenance. There are crazy looking "flat screen" tanks and some bowls that hang on your wall. With some good conditioners and constant cleaning, and careful temp control.....it could work. Especially for you nuts obsessed with rescue!

lol.. well our idea to rescue bettas only lasted until we didn't have room for more. we do alright with getting them and taking care of them, but we are terrible at sending them to new homes.
