I already have 4 Bettas-- two in their own tanks and two in a divided one-- but when I went to PetSmart today I couldn't just leave this little darling there.

I've decided to name him Opal, because he has a sheen of blue around his sides in a certain light. The bowl is temporary, I'm going to divide my second 10 Gallon so I can have him live with one of my other boys. I'd love an opinion on who he should live with-- I want to create a striking color difference with him and his roomie.

Jackaboy:

Kronk:

And Marluxia:

Groot is out of the question because his 20 Gallon is his and his alone. XD

I was thinking of that, but I wanted to see if anyone else felt the same. :3

Thanks! I've always thought he's super pretty. :3 2 points for Jackaboy, then!

Update: Opal is like a little angel sent from Heaven to make my heart melt every time I see him. He's definitely living with Jackaboy now, but look at this precious child.

He also wasn't scared of my finger in his bowl, he slowly approached it but didn't attack me or get freaked out.

Awe... he might actually change colors on you just a little. Once you get him in his home tank and happy. That sometimes happens with petco/petsmart betas. They tend to brighten up a bit when they finally get good care.

Yeah, all of my Bettas came from PetSmart (they're only just now building a PetCo nearby one of said PetSmarts). I can totally tell a difference in all of them, but most specifically Marluxia, who was being very sassy with me after I had to move him last night:

Ooh la la! Looks great in that light! But the non glow shot is just as beautiful. I love the marble effect!

I do too! I'm starting to think that my Bettas were listed under different tail types than they were originally... Groot now appears to be a possible Rosetail, and even though Marluxia was listed under Rose Petal, I'm starting to think he's either like Groot or a Halfmoon. Oh, PetSmart. XD
