Hi all, I'm new to this forum so I hope you don't mind helping me out with a question. Sadly one of my shoal of 5 died through a filter accident I have since fixed :(

I've read 5 its the min number you should have so should I go find another or will my 4 be ok?

First off Welcome to fish lore!

If you would also be so kind as to complete your aquarium information it would greatly help us in helping you.

That all aside now, Your fish will be ok, but they do prefer larger groups. Without knowing the size of your tank it is a bit hard to say exactly how many you should have or what else you might be able to add.

Welcome Aboard to the Forum, Fishlore. It is nice to see new people on line

Generally, they refer larger shoals, shoalmates of their own species, shoalmates similar in size and appearance to themselves, healthy fish, and kin (when recognized). The larger the shoal the better. I think 4 is okay but 6-8 is the best target.:;hurryb
