Newbie: Marineland Nook 5 Gallon

My 9 year old son and I are getting into aquariums. Here is the Marineland 5 gallon Nook I bought for his room. I got Nat Geo sand substrate, 3 live plants and will add a betta once cycling is complete

nice tank, its funny I was actually looking at this exact tank day before yesterday at petsmart. held off on getting it though.
