Newbie here! Would love some advice.

Hi I’m new to this hobby and recently started my 10 gallon tank. I would love some feedback regarding how to make this tank better, specifically plant to put in or take out. I also have two pieces of driftwood that I’m worry about it taking too much space. I wish I can take a better photo but right now I just can’t seem to get rid of the tannings in the water even after I boiled the driftwood for a good while. I’m also cycling the tank so couldn’t do a water change currently.

PS: would love some “advice.” Autocorrect is not on my side today.

I’m debating if I should get some tiny driftwood that I saw at the LFS today. I like the statement but I’m nervous it takes too much space and casts too much of a shadow.

I dont think so. Looks good. Once the tannins clear it will be more light in the tank. I don't think its too big.

Good to know! Do you think it looks better like that in the back, with more foreground or like this, when it is front and centered? (I’ve taken out plants obviously to make the tank looks less crowded)

Went to my LFS and had a long talk with one of the workers. Came home and redid my tank. I’m super happy with it!
