Ok, glad to see you've got nitrates. Try not to overfeed, especially when cycling.

I bought micro measuring spoons to help with this but its hard to not overfeed fish food is tiny! Although my fish seem to think these new pellets are too big. I counted out 7 and crushed them for next time. 1 per guppy and 1 extra for everyone else.

For fish with smaller mouths like yours, I like to crush my flakes and pellets. I also have Omega One micro pellets and they seem to eat them just fine.

Lost my first fish second prettiest guppy has been just sitting in a corner of the tank the past several days and not coming out to eat. Was dead this morning. The others appear to be improving. No one else is laying on the bottom any more so hopefully the paraguard is working. Gave everyone hex sheild food too as it's a three day treatment. Today is day three so I guess maybe it helped if you felt good enough to eat.

Sorry for your loss. Hoping for the best for your other fish.

Yep, "it all started with one betta..." same here. Lol.

I am sorry for your loss too. But please don't give up. It happens. It's a learning experience. Been there, done that, learned a lot! You have a really nice tank.

Gateway drug for fishkeeping? Haha they are too fun!

Not giving up yet! Going to set up a rigorous qt tank procedure though ASAP once I get my fish over their sickness. Hopeful the Paraguard is working.

I can't wait to get these. I want them so bad! A nice sized school of these and one of ember tetras would look so cool together!

Today's test results have me mystified. Just got back from a week of vacation. Everyone is still there yay! The water is cloudy though so I thought my water parameters were going to be all messed up...
Ammonia 0.25 or less just barely green
Nitrites 0ppm
Nitrates 5 ppm
Ph is confusing. My seachem alert strip in the tank says 6.6. ApI ph test says 7.4 and high ph test says 7.6. I'm guessing my ph is most likely around 7.5?
Ghand kh are 7dh but to be honest I'm not clear whether that's good or bad...
Seems pretty good numbers wise why is it cloudy?

Did you use an auto feeder or vacation block while you were away? Did you do a water change before you left?

Did a water change day before we left and left preportioned food for the petsitter marked for each day with just a few micropellets for each day and a day of daphinia as a fasting day in the middle. We have a lot of critters around here so it madesense to have someone checking everyday. She was also dosing the tank daily with stressguard and paraguard as guppies are sick.

Maybe uneaten food or could the sitter have given a little extra? I'd do a water change with gravel vac since you're scheduled for one anyway, right? Also, rinse your filters as well. Then check your parameters afterwards.

Recharged my co2 system and added a small secondary filter today. Do you think 65 gallons of filtration is enough? Lol. Loving these little cories! They are so cute. Managed to get a complete school of six!

As long as you have at least 360 gph total filtration, yup! Where is the photo/vid of the corys?

They aren't very cooperative for pics but here you go!

They are doing a good job of tidying the bottom of my tank. Keeping the sand swept! Lol

Not sure about doing frozen or live yet. But I have 4 different kinds of sinking wafers pellets for them to try out! My fish drawer looks like a hikari/Seachem demo table!

Fortunately the store was really busy when I went back to get what I thought was the last one, I got to watch that tank for a while while waiting for an employee and assure there were 4 in there they just had to find them all! They were playing follow the leader last night all in a line checking everything out. So cute. Throwing me into a minI cycle but shouldn't be too bad.

My little sparkling gourami committed suicide on me. Got stuck between the glass and the filter casing. Poor little guy

Tank is looking so mucch fuller and active now! Qt tank graduates added ten more ember tetras and 4 male endlers for a total of 26 fish and 6 snails!

These bamboo shrimp are so fun! So cool looking. They are finally starting to hang out in visible parts of the tank instead of hiding all the time!

And the flame moss in the background appears to finally be a plant that likes my tank even though it gets picked at by the endlers and ember tetras pretty frequently. Alrhough they may be helping clean algae or diatoms off it I still have a lot of diatoms. New neeites added this week are hungry though and working hard at cleaning my bamboo at least.

Found a castaway rcs in the tank tonight. Anyone know how to tell what gender it is? Was planning to get the yellow ones for this tank later and don't want it overpopulated with reds.
