You could also look into throwing some java moss in there. Probably the easiest plant to care for, after a moss ball. Tie some to a rock or something and you're good to go. Dose with liquid fert every now and then.

wow looks nice I will definitely consider it after my cycle has completed. Its day 4 and almost no change in ammonia lol and nice ivory snail btw making me jealous lol

omg I see him now WOW ok well in my - tahitian moon sand itl take me weeks to find him then if he was black lool, I guess I'm just blind - so I think il stick to ivory or blue if I'm lucky enough to find one

 

It's pretty awesome - you'll be watching a movie or something and one will catch your eye as he spreads his foot out and parasails across the tank lol

They're pretty dang acrobatic, considering, haha.

@zombimaru How is the cycle going? Have you had your big spike yet?

 

its day 5 today and it seems that the ammonia is dropping finally from the starting 4ppm (which was high I know) to now 2ppm but no big spike yet won't be for a few more days I think.

hows your new 10 gal coming along ?

Yeah, using some media and one zebra danio who was really skinny. Figure I can keep an eye on him in the 10 while he's alone.

its been a month!? since cycling wow I thought it was 2 weeks ...maybe not lol but there hasnt been much of a change its going very slowly.
I have been testing like every 2 days and I had started with 4ppm ammonia which was too high I know now and yesterdays test showed it at 1ppm so there is 'SOME' change just not alot. I knew it would take long just thought it would move slightly faster lol
