New to Mollies

Hi, I'm a new to Mollies. Right now I have one Dalmation Molly and one albino cory catfish, I'm thinking of getting at least one more fish in there. They all live in a 5 gal and seem to be very happy, I know it's really small for them but it seems they still like it there compared to there small tank in my LFS. Just wanted you guys to know, I'll post if anything else happens to my small tank.

Hello!

Congrats on your molly and cory! IF you decide to add one more fish make sure it's a small fish....your molly and cory are probably juveniles and will grow. You should not have more than 1 inch of fully grown fish per gallon, so you're right about at your max there. BTW, I find that almost everyone I know who starts with a small tank eventually does get a bigger tank, so maybe enjoy your new friends until you're ready for the upgrade, at which time you can move then to a bigger tank and maybe get more fish. Just a thought.

Thanks, when I do move them to a bigger tank it'll be like a 10-20 gal. Hopeing that will be soon ^.^ thanks. Also maybe when I add some more fish I'll probably add another Dalmation molly and one more cory. ^.^ thanks for replying,

You should get a 15/20 gallon aquarium.
