New tank cycling product

Just started up tank 2..a thirty gallon . Anyone familiar with Biozyme?? The directions say to use it seven days in a new tank then there is no further instructions....After 7 days my readings are Ammonia 0,nitrite .25, nitrate 0 Does not sound like its cycling to me....Any thoughts?

 

That tank is not cycled. Most bottled bacteria for fish tanks is the wrong type. It lives for about a week and then dies off. They do this so that you have to keep buying the product. From what I've read the only one that actually works is Tetra Safe Start.

 

Overall these quick cycling products don't work. What size is tank 1? You might be able to put the filter from tank 2 into it to give a jumpstart.

 

+1 to Cichlidnut, most do not work. the one that does is Tetra safe start.
