HI all,
I have a 20 gallon hex tank. Lightly planted, 1 large java fern. And 2 little plants. I've also made a cave and hideys out of slate and pebbles.
So I added some tss to my tank and then started off with 2 zebra danios. I've now been told that zebra danios are probably a bit too small for a hex.
The guy in my local fish store said that some would be okay depends on the personality of them, one of mine chases the other all day when the light it on, and then they are all pally pally at night with the light off.
Anyway, I'm taking him in a sample of my water today as its been 3 weeks since I added the fish and so he's going to test it to make sure that the tss done its job. ( I've obviously been doing water changes ) he's suggested adding some more danios assuming the water is okay and then seeing if they calm down once in a shoal.
Is this a good idea? I can always donate them back to the lfs or another aquariust if it all goes **** up, I've seen other people who have had success with danios in slightly smaller tanks.
Thank you everyone!!!
