New Tank Aquamanta vs Fluval

Right so its taken less than a month after kick starting my current tank to decide i need another bigger tank.... figures!

Im currently stuck between two options the Aquamanta Nano 80 LED Aquarium Aquamanta Nano 80 LED Aquarium
Or Fluval Roma Fluval Roma 125 Litre Bluetooth LED Aquarium & Cabinet Set

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with either especially the Aquamanta and its filter system/ lighting?

At the moment a much prefer the aesthetic of the aquamarina but love the lighting on the fluval. Im going to keep a heavily planted community tank with lots of tetras,Endler guppies and various shrimp and snails so the light might just be the most important part of this set up? Also not so sure I love the hidden rear filter as it takes up quite a lot of tank space on the AM (Currently have a Fluval flex with a similar set up and i'm not a huge fan)

Any other suggestions on tanks to look at will also be taken on board.

My vote is Aquamanta only because it is rimless and I really like the looks of a gooseneck lamp suspended over the water.

Yeah I just wonder if the light will be powerful enough for plant growth... especially monte Carlo carpeting plants...

I’ve recently upgraded one of my tanks to the roma 125 in white. Lighting system on it is the latest fluval aquasky which seems good but is controlled by bluetooth which annoys me - means i need my phone on me just to turn the lights on! Suppose i prefer an old fashioned on/off switch. Didnt use the u3 internal that it came with as i upgraded that to a 307. Good overall build quality as expected from fluval.

Have you had a look at the aquael optiset? I considered getting one of those too.

It would be nice if they listed the specs/wattage.
"Stimulates plant growth" isn't much to go on.

I've got Monte Carlo under a Finnex 24/7 and it isn't doing squat. But it's not dying either.

Yeah thats the issue im having... I guess I could always get the tank and upgrade the light later...however if the Fluval lights better it would make sense to go with that one instead...

I have a Flex with a standard on and off light set up on a bluetooth (smart) plug so I set a timer for my lights anyway... assume that the Fluval bluetooth lights the same? Can you set a timer on the app?

I has been a long while since I bought a complete aquarium system. I would go for a rimless tank, perhaps with a compatible glass cover, and choose lighting (Twinstar or Eco for instance) with a controller and filtration according to your wishes. This gives you so much more freedom and is oftentimes not more expense than a complete system.
