New Tank — Acei Cichlids

So today is day one of starting to cycle my AceI Cichlid tank. I have learned they are a part of the Mbuna family of African Cichlids.
I’m brand new to cichlids and wasn’t even planning on starting a cichlid tank because I was in the process of starting my first planted tank, but a local hobbyist who had about 5 cichlid tanks and one of them was a 300 gallon tank . He is moving to NC and wanted to find good homes for his fish friends. So he gave me two small AceI Cichlids, one male one female.
I was planning on putting them in the new 20 gallon tank I acquired but I don’t feel comfortable about the look of the seal—so I will be reselling that tank in the near future.

Pictures soon to come but right now they are both in my quarantine tank and it’s lights out so I’m not going to bother them.

He also gave me a very little baby parrot cichlid which I put in my community tank. I wasn’t too sure how he would do, but he seems to be getting along just fine.

Acei's in general are relatively easy to keep. Both White & Yellow tails are nice looking Mbuna, and aren't very aggressive as African Cichlids go. The males grow to approximately 7" long.

That's not a Parrot Cichlid, it is a young OB Zebra type Mbuna. It will not be fine in a community tank for long. When it matures it will get very territorial and aggressive, and likely damage and/or kill everything else in the tank.

Thanks!

What is this one do you know?
I thought it was an AceI but it’s kinda aggressive so I’m not so sure.

Looks like some type of Mbuna. The P. Crabro aka Bumblebee Cichlid darkens up like yours, or it might be a hybrid.
