My new 30G tank in the cycling process.

Once the tank is cycled I will be transferring my tetras to it.

I put my old media in the in tanks filter and put a new filter in my established tank filter (I've put a new filter in my established tank before durring a full tank cleaning and fish were okay)

Nice! Just curious if you're keeping the water level low permanently?

Looks nice, its always fun upgrading.

Just my two cents;
Your algae eater may eventually outgrow the tank and become very aggressive.

Your frog will eat fish. Even rather large fish, I'm assuming African dwarf? I'd keep an eye on him. Some are really dumb and need to be literally hand fed.. others are very active hunters.

Also may I ask what is on the left of the picture under the light? It looks interesting but hard to see on my phone, is it a fairy garden?

The frog stays in the back corner and swims up to the top to get food and air.

Oh neat, I love those little shrimp.

Just keep an eye on him.. I learned the hard way when one day he decided to wipe out a school of neons in 24 hours. He was with them a month or so without problems. Now I have a 20L just for ADFs and I feed them feeder minnows daily.

The tank has finished cycling.
I haven't changed the water for 2 days and the levels are:
GH 180
KH 120
PH 6.5
Nitrite 0.5
Nitrate 20

African clawed frogs will eat small fish. Both ADFs and ACFs should be fed frog pellets and bloodworms along with other food. Just feeding live fish or fish food isn't healthy.

Your tank is definitely not cycled. Nitrites should be 0.

.5 nitrites is NOT cycled....that's quite toxic actually....why do you think you've finished cycling? You should be doing daily water changes with nitrite like that.

What's the ammonia?
