New Snails on the way!

Just got the email that my order is on the way!

Getting 5 more nerites, 10 bumblebee nerites, 1 ivory mystery snail, 1 blue mystery snail and 1 giant orange rabbit snail!

Haven't seen much info on the rabbit snails...good betta companion perhaps? Everyone will be going in the 10 gallon betta tank to quarantine for two weeks before moving to the big tank. Hoping the betta isn't too mean to the mystery snails.

Don't forget that mystery snails have to be fed. They love bottom dweller food, blanched vegetables and snail-o, and a piece of cuttle bone will help keep their shells nice and hard.

Got them in their 10 gallon to qt last night. They sent me an extra rabbot snail and an extra brown mystery that appears to have been fatally cracked in transit. Everyone is happily exploring!

I hope you enjoy them! They are very striking with brilliant colors and unique textured shells. Only thing I'd be worried about is that your pH is a bit acidic, Rabbit snails like very Alkaline water around 7.5-8.5

Have a good day!

Thanks! I'll add a pinch of alkalibe buffer then to boost it!

My rabbit snails live in 7.8 just fine and their shells are very healthy.

Around 7.5 to 8.5 is just fine. I see that her tank has an average pH of 6.6, that's all I'm worried about.

Ohhhhh I completely misread that. My bad! 6.6 is pretty low for snails, you're absolutely right.

Beginning to move the new snails into the big tank which shouId be snail paradise! I haven't been scrubbing the algae off decor or the back and sides glass so there is tons to eat!
