New shrimp tank setup. What do you all think

Just moved my existing rabbit snails and my last remaining cherry shrimp into a new tank I've cycled. What do you all think of the setup? I'm going to move a half coconut with moss on top in and an amazon sword at the back of the tank I think. Also need to work out how to shrimp proof the U2 when I get more shrimp to protect the shrimplets
Sorry here's the picture!

Nice looking set up! But It will take about 6months for it to be ready for shrimp. Shrimp need an established tank to be successful. They live off of bio-film and algae. Suswasertang is a good plant for shrimp.

Looks nice although I would not use an internal filter, they can shred the shrimps

I would take in consideration both suggestions above: let the tank mature (~3-6 months) and plants grow big, specially the moss - this would be enough to have stability and food for shrimp

Also, I would consider to protect the water intake of the filter, otherwise small shrimp can be sucked up

It's a really cool "island" set up and I think your plan for it sounds good. However, I agree with the above suggestions. Let it establish (which I've heard is at least 3 months), maybe use a sponge filter instead and IMO, don't do an amazon sword. They get BIG - I have one that's 16" and I've seen them get up to 2 ft! If you want the look of a sword without the size a dwarf/pygmy/compact amazon sword might be right for you. They're the same species just much smaller, only getting up to 8" tall. Rosette swords, which happen to be one of my favorite plants, are far smaller than their giant amazon cousins at up to 6". I have one in my medium light goldie tank and it's only 4" tall. It's a really easy, cool plant :)

Thank you for the suggestions. I had to move my existing snails and shrimp as the small tank was a temporary home for them. It was only 20 litres and it was hard work changing water twice a week as the tank was too small for them. The new one has been running for a good 8 weeks now. I'm giving it another 2 months and il add some cherry shrimp and 2 amano shrimp. The rabbit snails are breeding. I have 5 adults that lay 1 egg a month. The first one I got had six babies. Five survived but only laying one a month is enough to keep on top of. I was thinking of putting some sponge on the outside of the filter intakes and elastic banding them on. In the small tank I had tights over the filter but that was hard work. I don't know how I'd do that on the fluval U2
