So the big bunch of plants I ordered arrived sooner than expected and the substrate won't be here for a few days. Should I leave the plants hanging in the tank or can I move to a bucket of tank water?image

I'd leave them in the tank unless they're something super hardy like a healthy java fern. The aquarium lights and water movement will help them stay healthier than in a bucket in my opinion.

I would keep the plants in the tank, all the bacteria will be good for the plant and it can acclimate to the water while your waiting for the substrate
