New Koi Pond Parent Advice???????

HI all! So, I am moving and the old home owner built a very, very, very , large koi pond. They asked me if I wanted to take care of the koi, and being the fish lover I am, of course I said yes. There are 5 koi, and from what I know, a good filter an "algae zapper" not sure what she meant by this, and it seems like a very stable, healthy setup. Any advice and care tips would be very helpful. Thank you!

How exciting for you!!! The "algae zapper" filter sounds like either UVC either built in or part of the filtration system. Do you have a photo of the filtration system ? Koi are ALOT of fun!! Since winter is coming, make sure you reduce your feedings and switch to a winter diet food. Best of luck.
