New horned nerite has white spots on shell

The petsmart in town recently started stocking nerite snails, and I was lucky enough to get a tiny horned one. It’s adjusted well to the tank but I'm concerned about the white spots on the back of its shell. Are they parasites or just part of the shell?

Those would be other nerites' eggs. They go away but very slowly. I bought rabbit snails with nerites eggs on them and it took ages for them eggs to dissolve.

I agree, you might be able to rub them off, they always come off the glass easily.

I don’t think Nerite eggs will hatch in fresh water. I have about 12 Nerites in 2 different tanks. I’ve grown to like the white dots everywhere! :)
