New Home For My Female Betta

So I have just setup a new home for my female Betta - sadly she is quite camera shy but the tank has matured very nicely over the last few weeks.

Day 1

Day 10

I'm pretty happy with it so far, and don't mind the Java moss - there are some cherry shrimp in the tank as well and they needed a safe place to eat.

Driftwood was boiled and soaked for a few days first yes. the tank is about 25L (not massive but a happy home for the little lady)

I quite like the tannin look in the water though so I don't like boiling it out. But it will fade in the next few water changes. And all my bettas LOVE tannins - never had a single problem with illness since I have used driftwood.

Not massive!?!? That’s a perfect tank for a betta and more then most people give their betta’s!

That's very true - not many people go much bigger then that but it will be housing probably 2-3 females eventually and it is quite perfect for them. And yeah its not massive, but its more then enough for a betta.

I’m saying that it’s massive (to the fish). All of my betta’s are either kept in a divided 10 gallon or a 10 gallon so that Betta has a good life

An update on this tank
My female betta has a new tank mate, a beautiful crown tail female with a striking bright blue color all over her body with a tinge of red in her tail. So hard to her a clear of her as she is quite shy unlike her red tankmate who loves attention and cameras.
The tank is also starting to get a very beautiful cover of green hair algae over the driftwood . Honestly looks stunning. In my bias opinion.
